What happens in Vegas usuallly stays in Vegas but I guess I'll break the rules. It had been forever since we had been down south and I couldn't stand another cold weekend, so we drove to St. George last friday after work. Immediatly upon entering St. George we stopped at my favorite ghetto fast food restaruant Jack in the Box. We then tried hitting up the hot tub at the condo but kicked out about 5 min after getting in due to the pool patrol who closed it up right on the dot of closing time. Not too long after that our friends showed up and we watched a movie. Saturday morning we made our way to sunny warm Vegas. On our scout to find somewhere to eat, always so hard to do in Vegas cause there are so many options and none of us were decision makers we stopped by Tiffany's (never been in one before). I was eyeing a gorgeous diamond ring and the sales lady asked me if I wanted to try it on. No, no I'm just looking I said, (obviously, like I'm ever going to buy anything at a store where armed security guards in tuxedos greet you at the door) then she says, are you sure it looks better on or something to that effect so I gave in and tried on a $34,000 ring. Didn't look to bad on either, hint, hint husband:) Yea right I wouldn't even want that a ring that expensive. Anyways, we found a PF changs to eat at and sat on the patio. After that me and Aimee went to the pool and soaked up the sun and took a really wonderful nap while the guys went to the casino and promptly lost their allowance. After that we headed to the factory outlet mall where I found the coolest jacket at Armani but it was still on the expensive side so I used all my will power and resisted it. After all the shopping that my husband could handle we went to the Venitian/ Pallazo hotel for dinner and at a place called the Grand Lux which is owned by the same people as the cheese cake factory so of course it was delicious. After walking around for a bit me and Ryan decided to go to our favorite Vegas activity the Bellagio water show and gardens. We walked and walked and got there just as a show was beginning and it just happened to be our song "Your song" by Elton John. It is our song because when we were first dating Ryan took me to St. George/Vegas (don't worry mom we were staying at his grand parents house :)). It was a little early in the relationship and I thought that this trip was either going to make it or break it and it definitly made it. We waited forever at the Bellagio for the water show to play that night and when it finally came on I think it was really windy or something that night "Your song" was the one it played, anyways that night was when I really started to like Ryan so Vegas is always fun for us cause it brings back lot of good memories. If we had danced at our wedding this is what we would have danced to. Anyways back to the present day after our
Bellagio jaunt it was about 1am in the morning and we thought a good time to drive back to St. George. Our friends were staying in Vegas thru Monday so we thought we would just head back to St. George so we could have the day there to relax. Luckily Ryan was driving because I was so tired I could barely stand it and thanks to his good driving skills we made it back alive so that I could write this really long blog post. Sunday we slept in, relaxed in the sun again, visited Ryan's sister and headed home. A Pretty nice get away but it made me want to go on a much longer one and with a beach. This is a taste of the water show.. .
