Summer Activities

This summer we were pretty wrapped up in our new house, getting the financing figured out, going to look at it every day, preparing for the move.  We did take a little time out for a few fun things though.  In no particular order.

Went to the pool a few times, Tristan caught a ride with his cousins in their fun red wagon.
 Went to the dinosaur museum.

Relaxing with daddy at a bbq.
I'm bummed you can't see them in this pic, but Ryan took Tristan down this fun slide, this is also the American Fork pool where Tristan took his first swimming lessons.
A couple of times on afternoon where it was too warm to go do anything outside we went to the McDonald's play place, Tristan loved going down this piano slide.
Don't make fun of us, but we went to Comic Con (we had free tickets from Ryan's work).  It wasn't really our scene and way too crowded, but we did get to see a video Ryan made for a panel where William Shatner (original Star Trek guy and more recently known as the priceline negotiater) and the original Batman guy were there in person - tickets were $50 +, the crowd really liked the opener video Ryan made to introduce them, he might put it up on facebook soon.
Tristan hanging out in the shower at our new house one of the many times we went to look at it.
Tristan hanging out with grandma Egan at our neighborhood kids bike parade on the 4th of July.
Waiting for the fireworks to start on the 4th.
On my birthday we got to go out to City Creek and spend the afternoon shopping, ate dinner at the cheese cake factory and stayed in a hotel up in Slc just the two of us for the first time since Tristan was born.  It was so nice to have a little mini getaway.

 Relaxing:)
Tristan giving hugs to his best buddy at the petting zoo.  He also got to ride on a little pony, the video is way too long to post though, but he loved it.

Tristan loved this ride at Trafalga.
Tristan's first parade!
Stealing the neighbor's toys.
 Going to Lowe's with daddy.
Stealing toys at the splash pad at least he had the decency to wave goodbye this time..
Hanging out with Aunt Penny after our first time at 7 Peaks water park.

Well there's some of what we did at least that got recorded. Stay tuned for new house post and Bell Family Reunion pics.

San Diego

Ryan's family booked a beach house in San Diego beginning of May for a week.  We had declined going due to our finances being allotted out this year to a new house and a new baby.  We got talked into going just for the weekend as a few family members wouldn't be there for the first couple of days.  So, we decided to be spontaneous finding it hard to turn down a free weekend stay in a beach house and hit the road.  Although we had a fun time at the beach and enjoying being with family we weren't sure on the very long drive home whether the fun to drive ratio equaled out.  We mainly got a few videos so hopefully they work.
Tristan had no fear of the water, was eating the sand and drinking the salt water, so basically he loved it.

This is right after we got there, we are both very happy to have arrived! Thank heavens for the kindle and seasame street that helped us get thru the last couple of hours

 Tristan takes over the pool

We went to Old Towne San Diego on Cinco de Quatro (May 4th) so it was crazy, all the Cinco de Mayo celebrations were in full force, this is the only pic we got as the majority of the time was spent walking from our mile away parking spot, finding a restaraunt and waiting to be seated and eating yummy mexican food! We briefly checked out the Mormon battalion museum but pregnant me could only focus on finding food to eat!

Zoo Trip

On Memorial day this year we met Ryan's family at the zoo, it was perfect weather outside and therefore everyone else was there too.  Even with it being crowded we had a fun day.  Tristan loved the carousel ride, bears and the little lego land!

Mother's Day

This year I had a really nice mother's day!  I snuggled in bed with my little cutie pie, while Ryan made me breakfast in bed.  I also got some beautiful white roses, a very sweet card, and a new I phone!!  I had been using Ryan's old 3G i phone and it had a lot of issues, like no camera or video, had to talk on speaker phone only and it finally pooped out last week so I had been using a really old phone from like 4 years ago.  So, finally I have a nice phone and I can take lots of cute pics and video while I am home with Tristan.  At church we got yummy chocolate truffles.  After church I got a nice nap and then video chatted with my mom, grandma and siblings.  That evening we had a yummy dinner with Ryan's mom and family.

Easter

I was not super mom this year for Easter, what with house hunting, and feeling sickly, I did not do any cute easter basket or baskets at all for Tristan or Ryan.  Luckily Tristan's grandma's came thru for him.  He got a cute farm pop-up book which he loves and tries to destroy from Grandma Sue and Grandma Cindy had a yummy Easter dinner and egg hunt.  Tristan wasn't so much into finding the eggs as he was shaking them and eating the candy.  Still fun though.

Tristan's hugs are head taps, he loves giving hugs especially to his cousins.

A New House

With a new baby on the way, we hurried to go house hunting as our current two bedroom townhouse started feeling way too small.  We finally settled on building a new house in our neighborhood on a really cool lot. It is .25 acre,  a creek behind it and no houses in the field behind that, one neighbor to  one side and common ground and pathway to the other side.   We picked out everything that we could afford for the house, color of cabinents and counter tops etc, put the construction deposit down and waited.   Finally almost a month later they started digging only to find a spring on our lot, yes you read right a spring of water. hence the subdivision name (Spring Creek).  As much as we like the lot and waited extra time to get it, we are a little nervous of future problems  that could arise with having a spring in your front yard and will probably switch to the lot across the street.  Side note- if we had started off choosing this lot, they already had approval to start on this lot and could be halfway done with it by now.  Such is life.

We are super excited about having extra space, I am excited about having an official guest bedroom, Ryan is excited about doing new projects around the house and having a yard to landscape.

Lot across the street-

A Baby?

A lot has been going on this year for us, I am going to start out with the biggest and best news,  which everyone knows already, as I did the official face book post, but the day after Tristan's one year birthday I bought a pregnancy test while Ryan at work to prove to myself that I wasn't pregnant.  I bought the cheapest one that shows just a cross if you are pregnant. Duh, of course I'm not, was my first  thought, upon closer inspection and reading the directions more carefully I was shocked and well shocked.  I told Ryan  in a rather anti-climatic way in the car that we need to step up our search for our new house,  he was just as shocked as I was and we both thought I should take another test just to be sure and sure enough the same positive result. I called the dr office the very next day and went in to get my blood drawn and they found my progesterone level to be pretty low.  So, for weeks I refused to get excited about this new baby.  Due to my levels being low they let me come in for an ultra sound at week 8 and this is what we saw along with hearing a strong heart beat.  Yay!! I was finally able to get excited.
