Chaos

This is how I would describe my first experience in nursery. We were walking to sunday school a little later than usual today and as we passed the nursery rooms got grabbed to be a substitute. There were about 3 parents in there trying to wean themselves away from their kids and 1 kid crying and was not to be consoled, (we finally had to have the nursery leader find his parents). There was a total of three room changes throughout the process, the snack room was my favorite. One of the kids found a smaller kid to bully, whenever he found him alone he would come up to him, at first sight you think he's hugging him but then he pushes him down. Another of the kids was autistic and was really interested in the walls, chairs and especially the door and kept trying to leave the room so one of us always had to be on door duty. It was an interesting experience, all the kids definitely had their own personalities and were all cute in their own way, but I was exhausted by the time church was over, so hats off to everyone who is or has had a calling in nursery.

Earthquakes in Lehi

I have been told that Utah is supposedly going to have a big earthquake one day but I never really thought much about it before. Well, I think it was Monday night, we ended up going to bed later than usual, Ryan had just fallen asleep but I still had not yet, it was about 1am in the morning when we heard/felt it. Ryan woke up in a panic for some reason thinking it was some one in our attic and actually opened up our attic for the first time since we moved in to inspect, luckily finding no intruder. I on the other hand have actually already been in two small ones while I lived in Washington so I thought it felt like the ones I had been in before but just never expected there would be one here in Utah. Come to find out it really was one (2.9 ) and it originated in Saratoga Springs, the next city over and there has actually been three in the area the past month. Our ward has been very focused on emergency preparedness of late and had actually dropped by a preparedness packet just the day before. I know its important to do, I just have such a hard time doing it and really believing it will actually be needed but I am sure it will be, or they wouldn't tell us to do it, I just hope its not too soon, cause we are definitely not ready unless we plan on dining on canned corn for every meal in the event we can't go to Walmart 3 times a week like we do now.

The Bachelor

Ok, who is watching the bachelor this season? As you all know I am a dedicated bachelor fan, but even I admit, this one was so cheesy, Jake is cheesy and all the girls are cheesy too, they all had these one liners & awkward opening speeches. If I was on the bachelor I would just be like Hey hows it goin, nice to meet you, see you inside, something short, sweet, casual, try to make it as normal as possible. Anyways, as usual there is the token crazy girl who confesses her undying love for this guy she has barely met but is already desperately in love with and ready to bear his children. I wonder, when they go home and watch the season do they die with embarrasement because they recognize how desperate they seem or are they really crazy and don't even get it? Don't get me wrong I am still a loyal fan so I will still be watching the "most dramatic season ever"...
