Our New House

We've nicknamed it "the castle". My mom came into town this weekend for a family reunion and we entertained ourselves by going to the Parade of Homes (for the non Utahns- builders show off their homes before they sell them and/or to try to sell them- but they're not just the typical homes as you can see- some are but most of them are unique in some way). The Castle, pictured above was actually even bigger than the picture shows it was hard to get the whole thing in. It had an indoor pool, workout room, dance studio, movie theatre room, guest suite, and the master suite was like bigger than my whole house practially, an actual suit of armor guared the entry way to the Master suite. The whole house had kind of like a modern castle feel and was amazing to see. We actually started off the visit by going to the Thanksgiving point gardens which I always love going to.

Random thought: I don't think I ever made a blog about this but last summer Ryan's company spent a whole day at Thanksgiving Point getting footage for their stock footage department. So, I got to be a "model" for a few hours, although I never got paid as promised so really that makes me more of free laborer. It was kinda cool being followed around by camera but also awkard cause I never know how to act or where to look and seem natural.

Thanks for coming to visit Mom, we had a fun time!

Memorial Weekend 2010

Unfortunatly we had such a fun weekend we didn't really take any pics. We left town right as a storm was blowing in and headed to, yes you guessed it, where we always go, St. George. It was beautiful every day we were there, 90 degrees and sunny without a cloud in the sky. We stayed at the condo with our friends April & Clint and Ryan' s sister and brother-in-law. I got plenty of pool time, played tennis, volleyball, raquetball, basketball, played games, and ate good food, including Ryan's grandma's famous breakfast memorial day morning. We hung around as late as we could soaking in the sun and hanging out with friends and famly till we finally made ourselves come back to the real world of having to wake up and go to work. The only crappy thing was that we had left Ryan's car at his work during the weekend and he had some stuff stolen out of it. Speakers, keyboard accessories, and worst of all his temple clothes including recommend. We feel extra bad about that because we had a goal to go to the temple once a month, but got so busy during May that we kept putting it off and then thought about going to the St. George temple and then at the last minute decided not to bring them, so moral of the story if we had gone to the temple when we were suppossed to the clothes wouldn't have been in the car that weekend. Guilt trip.

I don't know why we took this picture of ourselves at this gas station of our reflections, random, I know. Also, It looks like I am pregnant in this picture, which I am Not. You might be able to see us playing volleyball in this pic but it so dark we could barely see the volleyball while we were playing, but we had to fight our way into getting our turn on the volleyball court so we played regardless of being able to see or not.
